in an attempt to rediscover, through literature,
our past life full of secrets, silences,
miseries, facts and episodes.
Views of history, voices of war, historical
works, various stories to bring back to
life the emotions, feelings, anxieties
and pain experienced - the moments in
the life of simple people. A journey into
the past: the difficult years of the Second
World War when Sant'Angelo
del Pesco went through the darkest
days in its history, the abandonment of
the destroyed town, the first signs of
reconstruction of Sant'Angelo and, finally,
the particularly large emigration after
the war. South and North America as well
as Europe welcomed the migrants from Sant’Angelo.
A true exodus that left the town without
any living forces.
